Basics completes innovation

In 1939,
Burim Corporation was founded in a
small thatched-roof house in Incheon.

This is where DL, Korea’s first construction company, started.
Why did we start a business in the empty plain where only a small number of houses exist?
DL Founder Suam Lee, Jae-joon thought:
“This place is in the approximate middle point between the Incheon and Yeongdeungpo industrial areas, so it will become a hub of Gyeongin Industrial District.”

In 1947,
the dream of
DL began.

When construction materials were brought in by Burim Corporation, they went out of stock soon.
This is because demand for wood soared as time went by.
“We will produce hardwood and mill them even though other wood corporations (stores) buy and sell milled wood.”

Burim Corporation was unique in treating customers.
We asked customers where they were going to use the wood.
“Send good materials by researching the materials suitable for each customer’s use, beyond simply sending the proper quantity.”

In 1947, Burim Corporation changed its name to Daelim and started to make drawings on blank paper, an auxiliary material in construction.
82 years is the history of innovation accumulated by DL by sticking to the principles and basics and showing true heart.
